Historic Maple Hill Manor Bed and Breakfast

Whether you are looking for a place to stay on the bourbon trail, or a quiet, relaxing weekend, Maple Hill Manor is a popular choice amongst travelers to Kentucky. Located just minutes from Bardstown, and less than an hour to Louisville or Lexington, the Manor provides a perfect home base as you tour Kentucky attractions.

There are 7 antique-appointed rooms, each with its own private bathrooms, air conditioning, and luxurious bath/lounging robes to use during your stay. Guests will find a sitting parlor perfect to visit, play board games or even tinker on the piano. Outside the patio is a popular place to meet other guests sitting by the fire pit, sipping bourbon. There are also hammocks to enjoy, or benches to sit on as you watch the mini donkeys & horses.

The almost 15 acre property is surrounded by thousands of acres of farmland. It is typical to see cattle, hay, tobacco, or tractors depending on the season. One of the best views is the evening sunset, with the gently rolling fields setting the stage for an ever-changing colorful sky.

The Manor was built in 1851 as a Greek Revival Plantation home, and there are many architectural features to observe such as the Italianate detail, 14' ceilings, 9' windows, and a grand Cherry staircase.

A homemade dessert is served each evening, you might find Hummingbird or Italian Cream Cake. Coffee, tea, water/ice are always available. Each morning a hot, made-from-scratch breakfast is served, and you never know what you are going to get. Past dishes included cherry cream cheese French toast bake, bacon, corn, griddle Cakes, maple pecan French toast, baked French eggs, hashbrown, waffles, crepes, bacon or local sausage, hot brown quiche, and many others. Special dietary restrictions can be accommodated, with advance notice.

Maple Hill Manor can host your family gatherings, Full House Rentals, Murder Mystery Dinner Parties, Small Weddings/Elopements, and group luncheons. Feel free to call or email to discuss your individual needs.

Wonderful Visit!
We visited the bed and breakfast for one night and fell in love with the home and property. We were greeted at the door by Donna who took such wonderful care of us. She shared the history of the house and made sure we were comfortable in our room. She really makes the house come alive!
